Abstract:
This study is a descriptive study that tries to investigate the pronunciation errors of the native
Arabic speakers, who are attempting to learn English as a second language. This paper sheds
the light on the factors that may cause problematic pronunciation errors. Factors leading to
these problems are mother tongue effect, phonological effect, differences in orthography, and
Stages of development. Studying these factors may help to predict some occurring problems
concerning pronunciation errors. Therefore, this study tries to provide some useful
pedagogical recommendations to overcome and prevent some of English pronunciation
problems.
