Abstract:
the study aims to identify the level of job satisfaction among the faculty staff members at the
university of Benghazi as well as to identify whether there were differences in job satisfaction
according to the variables of type and major . the study aimed to identify the most important
(factors) effect on job satisfaction among the faculty members . where the sample consisted
of 180 faculty staff members from the branches of the university of Benghazi, which include
the college of education , the college of arts and sciences Al -marj , the college of Alabyar
arts and sciences , and the college of arts and sciences Tukrah . a questionnaire has been built
for job satisfaction for faculty staff members , which consists of 25 phrases that include four;
(academic burden material income administration student performance and interaction ) . the
honesty and consistency of the questionnaire were calculated and the results showed that the
level of job satisfaction for faculty stat members at the university of bengai was low in the
negative trend is at the level of significance (0.00). as for differences by type (male and female) and according to specialties (scientific and literary ) there are no statistically
significant differences .while the results showed that the most important thing affecting the
job satisfaction of the faculty members, was the material income, where its rate reached
(0.85), followed by the administration axis with a percentage (0.70) .
