Abstract:
The study aims to identify the prevailing leadership styles of high school leaders in the
municipality of Seluq from the teachers' point of view and to know the difference in the
teachers ’identification of the leadership styles prevailing among high school leaders
according to the variables of gender and academic qualification. For a study of 180 male and
female teachers, several statistical methods were used, including the arithmetic mean,
standard deviation, relative weight, and the T. test. The study reached the following results:
The most prevalent leadership styles of secondary school leaders in the municipality of Seluk
from the teachers ’point of view are the transformational method, then the democratic
method, then the reciprocal method, then the dictatorial method. The dispatching method and
it was found that there is no difference in the teachers ’identification of the leadership styles
prevailing among high school leaders according to the variables of gender and academic
qualification.
