dc.description.abstract The study aims to reveal the Pesticide Residues of Chlorine in Some Vegetable Samples at Libyan Markets. This study was conducted on a group of vegetable samples (pepper, tomato, zucchini and cucumber) in Al-Marj city, in three cases (without washing - washed - when peeling). Twenty two samples of vegetables were carried out. These samples were collected randomly from markets at Al-Marj city. Analysis of samples was carried out by using dry incineration and then titration with silver nitrate. In this method, the reagents were used: as a guide of calcium chromate at a concentration of 1.0 percent, calcium oxide free of chlorides, acetic acid, 200 ml of concentrated acetic acid was diluted with 800 ml of distilled water, silver nitrate at a concentration of 0.05 calibres by dissolving 8.5 g of silver nitrate in Water, dilute the solution per liter. The concentration of this solution was verified by titrating it with a standard solution of sodium chloride . The chloride concentration was calculated from the volume and titration of the used silver nitrate solution by the relationship: N1 X V1 = N2 X V2. The study found that there are pesticide residues of chlorine, which exceed what the World Health Organization recommended in terms concentration. Recommendations and findings have been made in this study en_US
