The research aims to identify the concept of identity and the concept of national education,
and the goals of national education, as well as to identify the theories that have been
interpreted about the role of education in promoting the national identity, and to identify the
values of national identity included in the course of national education in the basic education
stage in the Libyan state, and to achieve the research goals the researchers used The
descriptive-analytical approach, and the results of the research concluded that educational
thought has an essential and important role in evaluating minds and directing them towards
proper behavior. There is no doubt that the protection of young minds was and is still
guaranteed by educators, to prepare a generation of nation-builders and protectors, and this
role is complete only from During cooperation between institutions of different roles and
functions, from the family and the school, and to harness the potentials that educators need
to exert their efforts in immunizing young people, and directing it towards the thought that
serves its religion and nation and preserving its identity and pride in it, and in light of the
research results, the researchers recommend the following:
-1That the school climate provides an opportunity to support the national culture without
being close to it, and without rejecting what is new from the product of knowledge
development, which may contribute to the development of our culture and is consistent with
our faith, and benefit the nation, so we preserve our national identity and at the same time go
along with the process of development and change.
-2Working to deepen and enhance the social activity, by encouraging learners to participate
in national events and events; That contributes to developing the spirit of belonging and
loyalty to the homeland.
-3Holding training courses for educational supervisors and teachers during the service,
during which they will acquire the necessary skills and directions and make them aware and
understand, and aware of all dimensions of the national identity.
-4Working to activate civil culture programs, teaching them to learners at all educational
levels about the values of national identity, and the necessity to activate human rights
decisions, and that these decisions focus on the need to change the culture of silence,
indoctrination, and throwing in the same approach It trains on freedom of opinion, accepts
other opinion and arises on dialogue, discussion, and constructive positive criticism.

establishing a society with valid citizenship through a national project on citizenship in
which a group of educational professors participate in it, and taking into account several
