Abstract

This research aims to investigate and study of two jurisprudential issues of two Maliki scholars, among the students of the senior great scholar Muhammad Ibn Ali Al-Senussi. These two issues are: the rulings on taking from the beard (by Sheikh Falih Al Dhahiri), and the rulings on smoking (by Sheikh Abi Saif Muqrib al-Barasi). The study begins with an introduction of these two great Maliki scholars. Then, it investigates the two issues on the doctrine of Imam Malik, with the link to their narrators, referring it to the origins of the Maliki school and using the jurisprudential rules in this regard. On the investigation side, this study explains its methodology, analyze its manuscript, and edits the text as required by the investigation rules. This includes the investigation of the text according to the modern rules of spelling, punctuation marks. It also includes the production the prophetic sayings, the narrations, and the transmission from their contents to explaining the unusual terms, introducing the scholars in the field, and finally adjusting anything that needs to be restructured. The study ends with a conclusion and a list of sources and references.
