Abstract:
The research aims to identify the attitudes of physical education teachers towards integrating
students with disabilities in basic education schools in Marg City in the light of some
variables [gender, educational qualification, years of experience] and to achieve this a
questionnaire was distributed that measures teachers ’attitudes. The questionnaire included
forty paragraphs distributed in two areas [Academic, psychosocial] to determine the direction
of the teacher. The sample of the research consisted of male and female teachers of physical
education in the basic education schools in Al-Marj city, whose number is [62] male and
female teachers.
The research found through the results that arithmetic averages, percentage, standard
deviations, test (C) and mono-variance analysis indicate that teachers have positive attitudes
towards integrating handicapped students with their ordinary peers in the physical education
class, and that there are no statistically significant differences in attitudes between male and
female teachers towards integrating Students with disabilities in the share of physical
education and all research variables It has been recommended that a general and systematic
policy be activated by all concerned authorities to integrate the handicapped into public
schools, and also the need to work on the appropriateness of government schools to provide a
study environment that facilitates the task of the handicapped student and teacher to reach the
best case of integration
